Colonoscopy
A colonoscopy is an exam used to detect changes or abnormalities in the large intestine (colon) and rectum.
During a colonoscopy, a long, flexible tube is inserted into the rectum. A small video camera at the tip of the tube allows the doctor to view the inside of the entire colon.
Endoscopic Ultrasound
This procedure combines endoscopy and ultrasound to create images of the digestive tract and its surrounding organs and tissues.
Esophageal Manometry
This is a procedure for determining how the muscles of the esophagus and the sphincter (valve) works by measuring pressures generated by the esophageal muscles and the sphincter.
Fibroscan
Fibroscan uses ultrasound technology to determine the degree of fibrosis or scarring that may be present in your liver from various liver diseases or conditions. This information could be used by your gastroenterologist to individualize your treatment plan. For some patients, Fibroscan can replace liver biopsy.
